What determines the price of 3D visualization? How to compare offers in 2026

2026-09-15 /Posted byadmin

The price of 3D visualization depends on what must be prepared before a finished image can be created. A single packaging packshot, furniture in a designed interior and a residential development with roads and greenery require different scopes of work. The number of renders alone is therefore insufficient for comparing offers.

Our quotes account for the model, geometry, materials, textures, lighting, surroundings, post-production and required variants. Our 3D visualization pricing shows sample amounts. Below, we explain what they include and which information allows your project to be estimated accurately.

What determines the price of 3D visualization?

Is an existing 3D model enough to start work?

First, we check which materials you have. A correctly prepared 3D model allows existing geometry to be used. A CAD model may require adaptation: organizing parts, removing invisible structural elements and preparing surfaces for rendering.

Technical drawings and documentation provide a basis for modeling. With photographs, we also need dimensions and information about areas the photographs do not show. A physical product without documentation can be assessed for measuring, modeling or scanning. If you supply a scan, we assess its completeness and quality.

Having a model file does not necessarily mean we can prepare a render immediately. Sometimes geometry needs repair, the mesh needs simplification, the object needs separating into parts or retopology is required — rebuilding its surface layout. UV mapping determines how textures are arranged on the model.

Before sending an inquiry, see what materials to prepare for a 3D visualization quote. Complete documentation lets us define the scope more precisely and reduce follow-up questions.

What affects the cost of 3D modeling from scratch?

The work involved depends primarily on construction and required detail. A simple cabinet has different surfaces from an upholstered armchair with stitching, soft cushions and wrinkles. Ornaments, milling, handles and mechanism components require separate work.

The model's intended use also matters. If we show an open or unfolded product, we must prepare parts invisible in the main view. Close-ups require details that would be almost unnoticeable in a wide view.

Object size alone is not a pricing criterion. Small jewelry with a complex setting may require more work than a large, simple shelving unit. Technical accuracy and the number of construction variants also matter.

How does product scanning differ from material scanning?

Geometry scanning helps reproduce a physical object's shape. Photographing or scanning a material prepares textures describing its surface, such as fabric weave or wood grain. These are two different tasks.

A product scan usually needs cleaning, error removal, missing sections filled and mesh optimization. Retopology and texture matching may also be necessary. Scanning an object therefore does not always finish model preparation.

PBR materials describe color, roughness, fine surface irregularities and light response, among other properties. A fabric photograph alone does not always supply all this information. During quoting, we establish whether existing textures can be used or need preparing from samples. Scanning is quoted individually after assessing the task.

How do textures and materials change the quote?

Recreating a particular material requires more than choosing a similar color. We match pattern scale, wood grain direction, fabric weave, sheen and light reflections. Fine surface irregularities also matter in close-ups.

The number and properties of materials affect cost. Glass, chrome, lacquer and transparent or highly reflective surfaces require suitable material and lighting settings. We assess fidelity against supplied swatches, samples and references.

Changing an existing material's color is different from developing a new fabric or wood finish. The latter may require new textures, different mapping and additional tests. Color perception also depends on lighting and the screen, so references are agreed at the start.

The prepared model and scene can form the basis of further color and material variants.

How does the presentation type affect the work involved?

A packshot shows a product against a white, plain or transparent background. It still needs a model, materials and carefully chosen light but does not include designing an entire interior. An interior scene additionally requires surroundings, furnishings, accessories and composition.

Product visualizations
A 3D packshot focuses attention on a product's appearance, materials and construction.

A technical visualization, cross-section or exploded view requires product construction to be shown. We therefore need information about layers and internal elements. Architecture additionally involves buildings, terrain, roads, greenery and development surroundings.

3d visualization reinforced window glass cross-section
A 3D cross-section shows construction and elements hidden from the outside.

Animation additionally involves scripting, movement, rendering an image sequence and editing. An interactive 360° presentation requires images from successive directions and preparation of how they will be displayed. Viewers control product viewing themselves. We define the scope of both formats separately from individual images.

How many views, variants and formats do you need?

An additional render from a prepared scene may cost less than the first visualization. The model, textures and surroundings already exist, so part of the work is reused. However, a new camera view may reveal areas needing refinement, and a nighttime building version needs different lighting.

Distinguish product, camera and variant counts in your inquiry. One piece of furniture in four colors, shown from three sides, means 12 images. Open, closed, folded or unfolded versions and separate close-ups increase this scope.

Also specify resolution, proportions and intended file use. A catalog image, horizontal banner and vertical social media view may require different compositions. We should also establish whether you need files with an alpha channel, meaning transparency. Saving an image in another format differs from preparing a new view.

How do revisions and deadlines affect cost?

We work most efficiently when geometry, materials and views are approved in sequence. Changing a dimension during modeling usually requires less work than rebuilding that element after textures and final views are prepared.

An offer should specify approval stages, the scope of corrections and how design changes are charged. Correcting a material within agreed parameters differs from adding a new construction variant.

We also agree the deadline for a specific scope. Urgent work may require rescheduling and affect the quote. Include the catalog publication or product launch date in your inquiry, along with the time you need for approvals.

How much does 3D visualization cost in 2026?

Below are sample Pogotowie 3D prices, checked on 15 September 2026. All amounts are net prices, indicative and dependent on project scope. They are not a universal market price list or a final quote for every product.

For product settings, cross-sections, animations and additional variants, model preparation or adaptation is quoted separately. The described packaging and furniture packages have a different scope and include shape recreation. The cost of a 3D render therefore does not always represent the cost of the entire order.

How much does a packaging or simple product packshot cost?

A sample packaging visualization for approximately PLN 150 net includes shape recreation, texturing and one packshot. This is a reference for a particular scope, not the price of every product against a white background.

Transparent packaging, reflective foil, many parts or detailed label reproduction can increase the work involved. Artwork file quality also matters. Working from a finished label design differs from reconstructing markings from a photograph.

What is the price of furniture visualization?

When preparing furniture visualizations, we distinguish cabinet furniture, upholstered furniture and complete sets. Front divisions, milling and finishes matter in the first group. The second adds soft surfaces, seams, quilting and fabric appearance.

Packshots start from PLN 60 net per render, and interior scenes from PLN 450 net per scene with one render. An interior scene's price includes preparing the room, so compare it with an offer of the same scope.

Beautiful furniture visualization
An interior visualization requires preparing the furniture, interior, lighting and accessories.

A sample cabinet furniture package costs approximately PLN 500 net and includes up to three pieces of furniture, an interior scene and packshots. We establish image count during quoting. Furniture with mechanisms, folding or opening functions requires additional geometry and component positions.

Packshot bed upholstered headboard
A bed packshot shows the product without a room setting, accounting for its shape and upholstery.

An additional color or view costs from PLN 40 net per render. Extensive fabric and finish changes are assessed by the work required. We can later reuse the same model in catalogs, stores and advertising. We discuss this further in our article on how to increase online furniture sales.

How do we price other products?

Our 3D product visualizations include doors, interior fittings, panels, moldings, lighting, equipment and technical products. We also prepare packaging, jewelry, sports equipment, display systems and exhibition stands.

We check different elements in every group. For a lamp, light passing through the shade may matter; for equipment, the mechanism; and for panels, installation and wall layout. Examples include our door visualizations, showing the product in different settings.

Visualization of felt acoustic panels in an office
Prepared product surroundings increase the scope compared with a render against a plain background.

The price of product visualization in a setting starts from PLN 510 net, and a simple cross-section from PLN 250 net. We quote animation from an existing model from PLN 300 net per started 10 seconds. Model preparation or adaptation must be added to these amounts if required.

How much does an interior visualization cost?

A sample room recreation for a designer, with texturing and up to three HD views, costs approximately PLN 300 net. This covers visualization from a supplied design; it does not automatically include interior design services.

The quote depends on floor area, room count, furnishings and individually modeled elements. Lighting, the view outside the window and detail also matter. Several views of a simple room and an extensive space with custom cabinetry are different tasks even at similar floor areas.

What do architectural and real estate development packages include?

When preparing visualizations for real estate developers and architects, we account for buildings and site development. The Light package for PLN 1000 net includes two renders, modeling a single-family house, materials and basic plot surroundings.

Standard for PLN 2500 net includes four images: an interior, two daytime exterior views and one nighttime exterior view. Site development, people and cars are included. An additional render costs PLN 500 net.

Premium for PLN 3500 net provides four renders and 10 seconds of Full HD animation, with people and cars prepared for animation. An additional render costs PLN 600 net. This package is intended for multi-family buildings and residential developments.

In architecture, the quote also includes surroundings: terrain, vegetation and scene lighting.

Packages are indicative. The final scope depends on the development, building count, terrain and input materials. We discuss view selection in a guide explaining which visualizations are needed to sell a residential development.

How do you compare 3D visualization offers?

Two offers called “product visualization” may cover different work. One involves rendering a supplied model; another includes modeling, textures and creating an interior. A lower price may reflect a smaller scope or more efficient reuse of existing materials.

When comparing offers, check:

  • Does the price include model preparation or adaptation?
  • Does it include texturing and recreating specific materials?
  • Does it include a setting or surroundings?
  • How many final renders and color variants will you receive?
  • What resolutions, proportions and file formats will be provided?
  • How many approval stages and revision rounds are planned?
  • Is post-production included in the price?
  • How are additional views and construction changes charged?
  • Is animation or a 360° presentation part of the order?
  • What is the deadline, and when does the production period start?

Send suppliers the same task description. This lets you compare the entire required set rather than comparing a per-render rate with the cost of full product preparation.

How can you reduce visualization preparation costs?

You can organize the most before work starts. Prepare current documentation, exact dimensions and a list of product versions. Include samples, material references and label and signage files.

Specify the images' use: catalog, online store, advertising or technical presentation. Plan the required views from one scene so we can reuse the model and surroundings. If videos will be needed later, include this in the initial arrangements.

Approve geometry before final materials are prepared. Collect comments in one place and provide a consistent list of changes. This facilitates production and reduces repetition of the same stages.

We can reuse a finished model in subsequent catalogs, packshots and advertisements. It can also be used for short Reels and Shorts videos. Any adaptation required depends on the new use.

FAQ — questions about 3D visualization prices

Can I get a quote without an existing model?

Yes. Send photographs, dimensions, drawings or technical documentation. We will assess the cost of preparing the 3D model and other work. If information is incomplete, we will indicate what is needed to refine the price.

Does another color cost as much as a new visualization?

We usually reuse the model and scene, so the scope is smaller. However, price depends on whether we change only the color or prepare a new fabric, decorative finish or surface finish.

Does the render price include modeling?

It depends on the price list item. The described furniture and packaging packages include shape recreation. For product settings, cross-sections and animations, model preparation or adaptation is charged separately.

Does a 3D scan automatically reduce the price?

Not always. A complete, correct scan can help, but data often needs cleaning and mesh reconstruction. For a simple shape, modeling from dimensions may be more efficient.

Can a product be shown before production starts?

Yes. We prepare the model from the design and material information. This lets you plan a catalog or product launch before making a physical example. Later construction changes may require model updates.

How can you get an accurate quote for your project?

The price of 3D visualization primarily reflects model condition, product complexity, texture preparation, presentation method and the number of final materials. The most useful offer clearly defines these elements and the rules for changes.

Send us materials for an individual quote: documentation, photographs, dimensions, a 3D model if available, view count and examples of the expected result. We will tailor the scope to your project. Explore more projects and guides on the Pogotowie 3D blog.
